• About this artist

Marland Backus is a Brooklyn-born, Tokyo-based jewelry designer crafting pieces inspired by her knowledge of form and material from her degree in industrial design at Pratt Institute. The result is jewelry with a mix of traditional hardware, unexpected materials like hair and stone, unpredictable twists on classics like a charm necklace, and eclectic plays on objects like bow jewelry and candle-shaped birthday rings.
