England studied art and design at Manchester Polytechnic from 1984 to 1988, after which she assisted at Elle, The Mail on Sunday and The Evening Standard. After meeting photographer and Dazed & Confused founder Rankin, England was brought on at the magazine and has styled for the title ever since. “You want the designer to be able to achieve the dream they have, to develop it and make it happen. That’s the point of us, that’s why we’re here." She is best known for her work for Alexander McQueen. From the beginning of McQueen’s career, England was transporting garments, researching collections and working on show production. Since the designer’s death, England found a new collaborator in Ricardo Tisci, styling his shows, campaigns and editorials during his tenure at Givenchy.
