In this season of MAFF Tour, our travels take us to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to catch up with a few incredibly talented creatives who give us a glimpse into their practice and culture. Episode 1 features contemporary dancer Hiltinho Fantastic who specializes in “Passinho Foda” — a style of dance that originated from the favelas of Rio in the early 2000s. In 2013, Hiltinho won the Passinho battle on the TV series, Caldeirão do Huck. He currently tours the world as a member of dance troupes Cia REC and Cia Suave, performing and teaching the art of Passinho.
