On this episode of Gallery Spotlight, we check out Atelier Biagetti in Milan, Italy. Atelier Biagetti is a collaboration between architect and designer Alberto Biagetti and artist Laura Baldassari. Their work, spanning from installation to performance, are an exploration of human behavior, mirroring the eclectic interests of our society. Through their art they encourage the viewer to reevaluate familiarity of a landscape by offering playful interpretations of classic forms. Here, we view their Pet Therapy project, unveiled during Milan Design Week. Giant cats lounging around their space act as functional sculptures that double up as lamps. Design cues taken from Fellini movies are encapsulated in pops of color. There is also the inclusion of an NFT cuckoo clock created with Vitruvio Virtual Reality.
