Reflections from Uyuni

The salt flat of Uyuni is the largest one in the world over 10.000 km2. It is located in the remote province of Potosi in Bolivia, near the Andes, at an altitude of 3.656 m. In this remote corner of the Earth, a peculiar natural phenomenon occurs: a thin layer of water gathered on a plain of salt turns it into an other-worldly looking glass mirroring the skies above in perfect symmetry. The eerie calmness of the place makes it all the more supernatural, and takes the observer far beyond the familiar.

The world is fascinating. People and cultures inspire us. Sadly, the fast paced lifestyles of our generation result in many not taking the necessary step back to soak in the existing world around us. Our goal with this film is to help viewers further appreciate and take notice of the beauty in life & culture that lies within our world... ...so the next time you notice something that strikes you as interesting, stop for a second, start powering on your camera, think about why it's unique, and snap the shot before you miss it. Life is extraordinary. Embrace it.

Chapter 1 | A Lesson from India

This is a new spirit. Using your energy to connect people, learn and earn. This what Krishna baba always said. Not even started my trip in India and I met this incredible person on the airplane. He took me to an adventure full of good learning, health, and positiveness. Then I continue my trip, approached to so many different kind of people, shaping my identity through this special way of life.

Atlantis

“Atlantis. Driving by so many utopias like it. Some already gone. The fate of mankind in stone and sand. Others exist only in memory. The train brings me to the town near the sea. The dune. An abandoned station, the living room just in time. A postcard from Giverny. Next day the fog arrives. Stuck in sand, I see Atlantis again from far away. Driving past a man building his house, others have left already, one hundred thousand of them. It’s spring and the flowers are still there. He sets the stones and crosses back to the desert.” Atlantis is an ongoing project. It is a visual poem about mankind, nature and the past, present, future, in South Western Africa. This first film takes place in mining communities along the Atlantic coast. Shot on 35mm. Exposed on 16mm positive print.
