Tomo Koizumi

Born in Japan in 1988, Koizumi studied an arts major at the National Chiba University, during which time he launched his namesake brand, and graduated in 2012. While working as a costume designer, Lady Gaga wore one of his designs on a visit to Tokyo in 2016. However, it wasn’t until Grand supported the designer’s New York Fashion Week debut that his work garnered international recognition and acclaim.

#DGxTOMOKOIZUMI Fall-Winter 2023 Fashion Show

#DolceGabbana continues to invest in young fashion talents and is delighted to announce its support for Japanese designer Tomo Koizumi.   Vivid colours, meticulously studied volumes, theatrical shapes and sartorial details are visible throughout Tomo’s work. This, his tireless attention to body positivity and his idea of feminine seduction fascinated Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who are supporting Tomo at every stage of the collection as well as hosting his fashion show in their spaces during Milan Fashion Week in February 2023.
