Ryan Daniel Browne

Ryan Daniel Browne is an Australian-American filmmaker currently living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His work favors a collaborative style in which performers are encouraged to improvise and influence the direction of the film. His most recent narrative film Napalm explores teenage friendship, violence and pyromania. Ryan received an MFA in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where he studied with Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Thom Andersen. As a musician he has recorded and performed with many bands, including Sonny & the Sunsets and Kelley Stoltz. He has also directed several dozen music videos.
