Patrick Li

Founder and creative art director of Li, Inc., an advertising and graphic design studio based in New York, Patrick Li has collaborated on design projects with clients including Louis Vuitton , Rodarte and Hussein Chalayan . He has also worked with a number of editorial publications such as Colors, WSJ, Vogue China and T: The New York Times Style Magazine, where he is creative director. Li, Inc. has also designed numerous monographs and artists’ books, including Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion, Architecture, and Rodarte Catherine Opie Alec Soth. Li’s passion for graphic design began whilst studying architecture at Berkeley in California. Securing a position at the innovative graphic design magazine Emigre after his graduation, Li worked on distribution, type-facing and pixel resolution before moving to New York in 1999. After working for a mix of publications including Interview and The Observer, Li joined the fashion art direction company Baron & Baron in 1993, gaining extensive experience under the guidance of Fabien Baron . Established in 2000 as the New York branch of Parisian design firm Work In Progress, Li’s agency specialised in the fields of logo design, brand identity and collateral design and worked closely with brands within the fashion, beauty and art industries. The agency was named Li, Inc in 2008 and operates independently.
