Motomu Ishigaki is a cinematographer based in New York City and Tokyo. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. At an early age, he encountered Robert Capa’s photography, which sparked his interest in visual arts. His passion toward visual storytelling led him to New York City in 2003. After earning a B.A. in Film Production from Brooklyn College, he has worked on several critically acclaimed feature films including Ryuichi Sakamoto: CODA which was an official selection at the 74th Venice International Film Festival.
