Geneviève Medow Jenkins
Genevieve is a multi media artist, director and creative director born to a mountain above the sea in Big Sur, California. Here she developed her relationship to the arts – in writing, film, dance, and later, photography. She earned her degree in Linguistics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon in 2015. When studying abroad in Berlin (2012), she discovered her passion for analog photography. A friend put a camera in her hand, gave few directions in German, and set her free. With this new form of communication, she flew – traveling the world from Trinidad to Singapore, taking photographs from ethnographic data collection to behind the scenes of pop music. Genevieve has worked with music artists such as Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Rhye, and Kyp Malone, of TV On The Radio. She is versatile and unique in style and format, doing behind the scenes, press and portrait shots, lifestyle and product shots, and travel documentary shots on 35mm, polaroid, medium format and digital cameras.
