Simin is an Ex-Orthodox Iranian-Moroccan Artist who grew up in Mea Shea'rim, Jerusalem. She is a triplet from immigrant parents and left independently from the Jewish ultra-Orthodox life and community at the age of 14. Her background and journey has become her main theme for research in her work, from which she works in the practice of connecting and linking photographs and stories, to produce a visual dialogue asking questions about the concept of ‘hybrid identity’ that examines gender, cultural identity, moments of trauma, violence - all associated with her personal identity. Simin creates projects in a variety of mediums, as she maintains the action of photography as a central axis.
